Delimitation
This wiki aims to make current knowledge about quiet roads and particularly noise-reducing road surfaces accessible. It is intended as a continuously growing collection of knowledge, which is continuously supplemented with new insights, experiences, and examples.
The wiki makes no claim to completeness – neither in the breadth of the topic nor in the technical depth of individual subject areas. Rather, it is meant to serve as an open platform where knowledge from practice, research, and administration from all over Switzerland flows together.
Additions, suggestions, and reports of experiences are explicitly welcome. The editorial team looks forward to hints and contributions to the following email address: leise-strassen@proton.me
At the start, the focus is on low-noise road surfaces (Semi-Dense Asphalts, SDA). However, the collection of knowledge is to be expanded in the future – for example, to include topics such as
- other surface types
- speed reductions,
- noise barriers, or
- measures against loud vehicles.
The wiki aims to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences, provide practical orientation, and contribute to the dissemination of proven solutions for quiet roads in Switzerland.
