Tram tracks

When crossing tram tracks in a transverse direction, impulse noises may occur. However, crossing in a longitudinal direction has no significant impact on noise emissions. There may only be a slight frequency shift into the high frequency range. Since the tram tracks in the canton of Aargau mostly run in a dedicated track, the issue of longitudinal crossing is less relevant.
